Joe's Bows
Joe's Bows is not a store. It's a studio — a place where exceptional fabric meets obsessive craftsmanship. Founder Joe brings years of sewing and design expertise to every piece he creates, working with materials most menswear brands have never heard of: authentic Japanese selvedge denim, repurposed vintage kimono silk, high-end shirting and suiting fabrics sourced from mills in Japan, England and beyond.
The result is a collection of apparel and accessories that are completely unlike anything you'll find in a department store. A
bow tie made from silk kimono fabric.
Suspenders cut from raw indigo denim. A chef's knife roll crafted from waxed canvas and Japanese cotton. A bespoke shirt fitted to your exact measurements. A leather-trimmed tote that gets better with every year of use.
Everything is made by hand, one piece at a time. Joe works directly with each client to choose fabrics, discuss fit and function, and create something that reflects who they are. If you've ever wanted something truly unique — something that will outlast fast fashion by decades — Joe's Bows is where you start.
SOKWA
SOKWA, a self-forged Albuquerque artist whose work carries the weight of ancestral memory and the energy of a city he has made his own. Born in Shiprock, New Mexico, and raised in Albuquerque, SOKWA grew up between worlds: the Navajo reservation where he was raised, the Chippewa (Ojibwe) heritage of his mother, and the urban landscape of Burque. That in-between space, its tensions, its beauty, its spiritual undertow, is exactly where SOKWA's art lives.
With a background in art studio studies from the University of New Mexico, Sokwa spent years honing his craft before his work found its footing. The turning point came during the pandemic, when an intense period of painting led to a relentless run through Albuquerque's outdoor markets, pop-ups, and gallery spaces. SOKWA's reputation grew organically from that grind, one booth at a time, one painting at a time.
Today, SOKWA is one of the most recognizable names in the Albuquerque art scene. His work has appeared with New Mexico United, been featured in solo and group exhibitions at venues like the Secret Gallery in Barelas, and earned him a loyal following across the city and beyond. His art blends bold color, Indigenous symbolism, and Southwest iconography into pieces that feel simultaneously ancient and urgently contemporary.
Inside
Monozukuri, SOKWA brings that same energy to a physical space, original
paintings, prints, apparel, and more, all infused with the philosophy he lives by: make work. Make it honestly. Make it often. And let the work speak.
MadVan Design
Mad Van Design is the work of Albuquerque-based designer Madison Van Der Lingen — a one-of-a-kind luxury brand that exists somewhere between wearable art and high fashion. Every piece in the collection is handmade in New Mexico, designed with sustainability at its core, and imbued with the surrealist, whimsical aesthetic that has become Madison's signature.
This is not everyday wear. Mad Van Design creates pieces for the moments that demand something extraordinary —
evening gowns that move like living paintings, loungewear that blurs the line between comfort and couture. The collection pulls inspiration from the natural world, from dream logic, from the landscapes and light of the American Southwest.
Madison's work has been featured in editorial spreads and runway events, and her Downtown Albuquerque showroom inside
Monozukuri
is where her current collection and archival rarities can be experienced in person. Open Studio Nights during the First Friday Art Walk offer a unique chance to meet the designer, book a try-on appointment, and explore PuffBugg's Closet — a treasure trove of smaller pieces and accessible finds within the studio.
Mobius Theory
Mobius Theory is the creative universe built by Albuquerque artist and designer Andy Torres — a fashion and lifestyle brand that has been rekindling awe and wonder since 2017. Born from a belief that life should be filled with play, experimentation, and authenticity, every Mobius Theory design carries multiple meanings and a distinct visual language rooted in whimsy, darkness, and curiosity.
Known for the iconic "daft cat" logo and a rotating cast of bold original designs, Mobius Theory produces apparel, stickers, greeting cards, art prints, enamel pins, tote bags, and more. The brand has developed a devoted following across New Mexico and beyond, with a presence at Albuquerque's best art markets, pop-up events, and now a permanent home inside Monozukuri.
For those who have always felt like outsiders — the weirdos, the misfits, the creatives — Mobius Theory is a flag to rally around. This is a brand with a community, a set of values, and a genuine sense of humor about the absurdity of being alive.
Rosancho Fabrics
Rosancho Fabrics exists for the makers. It's a carefully curated fabric destination inside Monozukuri, designed for the sewing enthusiast, the independent designer, the quilter, or the tailor who knows that the right material makes all the difference.
The selection reflects the same ethos that runs through everything at Monozukuri: quality over quantity, intention over convenience. Rosancho Fabrics stocks premium fabrics from Japan and other world-class textile traditions — including
Japanese selvedge denim, vintage
kimono silk, fine cotton shirting, deadstock yardage from fashion houses, and seasonal specialty materials that you simply won't find at a chain fabric store.
